Advantages of FASEP Motorcycle Wheel Balancer

Comparison between static motorcycle balancing stand and FASEP motorcycle wheel balancer:

  • Measurement of imbalance: the wheel unbalance detection on a balancing stand is always approximate and left to the operator's evaluation, therefore subjective and based on personal experience; on the contrary, on a FASEP motorcycle wheel balancer, the wheel unbalance is accurately measured by means of sensors and the weights to be applied on the wheel calculated and indicated on the machine display.
  • Position accuracy: on a balancing stand the fall speed is influenced by the friction of the rollers and this can affect the accuracy of the balancing and in particular the position of the weight application. On a FASEP wheel balancer, the position is always measured and therefore independent of rotation speed and deceleration.
  • Static/dynamic balancing: using a balancing stand it is possible to correct only the static unbalance; on the contrary the FASEP motorcycle wheel balancer is able to detect both static and dynamic unbalance and allows to correct them.

  • Comparison between car wheel balancer with motorcycle adapters and FASEP motorcycle wheel balancer:
    • Centering accuracy: a car wheel balancer equipped with a motorcycle adaptor carries the wheel through a clamp system, which locks the wheel in contact with the edge of the tire: in this way the balancing will not be accurate due to possible wheel oscillations caused by an incorrect centring. On the contrary, a motorcycle wheel balancer has a fixed shaft system that allows to simulate the exact rolling conditions of the wheel on the shaft and allows a perfect centering on the axle.
